ULP Ethernet transceivers address heat dissipation issue
Avago Technologies has announced an ultra-low power Fast Ethernet Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) fibre optic transceiver module device, the AFBR-57E6APZ, designed for industrial automation, controls and networking applications. The device features a redesigned chip set for LED control, Diagnostic Monitoring Interface (DMI) and signal processing, which significantly reduces the module power dissipation.
MMF transceiver offers low-cost 40G data centre Ethernet
Avago has announced a 40G BiDirectional (BiDi) MultiMode Fibre (MMF) QSFP+ transceiver module, the AFBR-79EBPZ, designed for highspeed data centre interconnect and networking applications. Based on 2x20G BiDi optics, the module enables 40GbE links on existing installed LC duplex multimode fibre of 10G network, providing a cost-effective upgrade path to 40G Ethernet in the data centre.
Optical incremental encoders suit industrial motion control
Expanding on the company’s market-proven HEDS-914x module series, Avago Technologies has announced a series of high resolution 3-channel optical incremental encoder modules. The AEDT-981x has been designed to enable robust, high precision motion control applications including DC servo motors, linear and rotary actuators, factory automation equipment, 3D printers, robotics and drones.
Optocouplers target AECQ100 Grade 1 qualified applications
A family of dual-channel optocoupler devices designed for automotive applications with AECQ100 Grade 1 qualification has been released by Avago Technologies. The R2Coupler ACFL-521xT is optimised for low power systems supporting data rates up to 1MBd, while the ACFL-621xT is optimised for high speed systems supporting data rates up to 15MBd.
Fibre optic devices targeting renewable energy at PCIM 2015
Industrial fibre optic products targeting renewable energy, industrial motor drive and transportation applications have been introduced by Avago Technologies at PCIM Europe 2015. The products include the AFBR-3905xxRZ/3950xxRZ galvanic insulation links, the AFBR-59FxZ 650nm POF transceivers and the AFBR-25x1CZ 650nm link fibre optic receivers.
