NEC’s new SEFUSE SF-R series thermal fuses are 1/3 smaller in volume than conventional pellet-type thermal fuses. Just 4mm dia. x 8.5mm long, they can still carry the same 15A/250VAC load but can respond up to 15% faster to over-temperature conditions. Thus they offer even greater thermal protection against electrical faults and fires.    

ATC Semitec expands its wide range of temperature probes with the introduction of new temperature sensors for use in gas boilers and electric heating appliances. These sensors are also suitable for a variety of temperature sensing applications where a neat, cost-effective solution is required.

Above 200°C, conventional thermal fuses are relatively unreliable, especially if the working temperature is close to the fuse operating temperature. Above 240°C they are not even available, so the intelligent solution is to use the PEPI H-8 high temperature thermal fuse.

In applications where a very reliable one-shot thermal fuse option is required, ATC Semitec now offers the PEPI H series. PEPI H bimetal fuses do not suffer from aging like conventional thermal fuses and so can be used at temperatures much closer to their switch point. This means that should a fault condition occur, the H-type fuse will react quicker offering greater security to the appliance and its user.

Matsuo MQT series thermostats are IP64 rated, have excellent repeatability (within ±0.2K) and life-cycles of upto 1 million operations. They out-perform cheaper disc thermostats on every level and help to minimise costly maintenance calls.

ATC Semitec has introduced a range of pipe-mounting disc thermostats to ensure better control of hot and cold water systems. The SJW6 series can be used on pipes from 10mm-16mm diameter using integral tight-fitting stainless steel clips. The thermostat also has a curved base to improve the contact area with the pipe thus maximising its thermal response.

ATC Semitec is now stocking a range of motor protection PTCs to compliment its existing range of re-settable thermal cut-outs. The new SPMP PTCs are available with trip temperatures ranging from 60oC to 190oC and comply with the DIN 44081 industry standard.

Semitec’s latest version of their CH pipe-clip temperature sensor is not only IP67 rated, it can also be supplied with twin NTCs to save the cost and time of fitting separate safety controls to hot or cold water systems.

As a response to a need for a simpler SMD package and higher current ratings, Semitec have now introduced the new S-series CRD range. The new SOT23 package offers constant current values from 0.1ma upto 18mA.
