Arnold Defense and Thales, have achieved formal certification to fire the Thales FZ275 70mm/2.75-inch Laser Guided Rocket (LGR) from the Arnold Defense LAND-LGR4 “FLETCHER” rocket launcher, during recent testing in Sweden.

Arnold Defense, together with Thales, has achieved formal certification to fire the Thales FZ90 2.75” rocket from the complete range of Arnold Defense rocket launchers. Working in partnership with Thales, Arnold Defense successfully certified their long-standing LAU and M-Series (lightweight) air-to-ground range of launchers and their more recently released MLHS and FLETCHER ground-to-ground launchers.

Arnold Defense has been awarded a $53.8m contract for the delivery of 2.75" rocket launchers and sub components to support the US Navy, Army and Air Force, along with foreign military sales to Australia. Recently announced by the US Department of Defense, the contract includes options that, if exercised, will raise the cumulative total to $74.3m over a four year period, with final delivery expected to be complete in 2023.

Arnold Defense will show a concept named the “FLETCHER” 2.75-inch/70mm Weapon System at SOFIC, at the Tampa Convention Center, Florida. The FLETCHER system can be mounted on land-based military vehicles as well as base defense platforms. The FLETCHER Laser Guided Rocket Launcher System can be seen at SOFIC on the BAE Systems booth SD33, where it is displayed on a Polaris DAGOR ultra-light tactical vehicle for the very first time.
