Resistors for use with precision potentiometers
The high-precision ACD22 10-Turns and the ACD46 15-Turns counting dials are now available from ARCOL Resistors. They are complementary to ARCOL’s main resistor ranges and are designed for use with precision potentiometers and are suitable for a wide range of industrial and instrumentation applications.
Ohmite, ARCOL combine on resistors
The recent acquisition by ANCRA, part of the HEICO group, has enabled Ohmite and ARCOL to combine and bring together 150 years of resistor know-how. The HEICO group is a diversified manufacturing company headquartered in Chicago. ARCOL can now offer the combined product range including resistors such as: the Ohmite high-power thick film resistor TAP1000 & 2000 series; the Audio Gold non-magnetic resistor range; and the RX-1M Hi-Meg Hermetical...
One of the highest-power SMD resistors on the market
Extending its RWS range of SMD resistors from 0.5 to 10W, ARCOL Resistors has announced the RWS10 surface mount resistor. According to ARCOL, this is one of the highest-power SMD resistors currently on the market.
Wire-wound variable resistor offers simple adjustment
Ergonomically designed to enable simple and accurate adjustments via its top mounted slider, the VRH320 variable wire wound resistor has been announced by ARCOL Resistors. The resistor is suitable for voltage and current adjustment applications including industrial machinery RPM adjustment, instruments, automated control installations, load simulation and educational modelling.
Resistor can be easily mounted onto capacitors
Designed for quick and easy mounting onto capacitors, the RW discharge resistor has been introduced by ARCOL. Suitable for use as a discharge or balancing resistor, the device features screw mounting. The resistor is offered in three power ratings: 10, 13 and 22W, with ohmic value ranges of 1-15, 1-2 and 1-33kΩ, respectively.
Resistor series features high power density
ARCOL Resistors has announced the availability a range of low-profile, metal-clad Power Resistors with 600V cables. The ARF series has high Pulse Capacity characteristics, with Pulse Power overload of 10 times normal wattage for 5s, which makes the resistors ideally suited to braking and inverter/converter applications.
Low-profile power resistors suit high-frequency applications
An extended range of low-profile stainless steel power resistors, offering low inductance characteristics, have been announced by ARCOL Resistors. Manufactured using cutting-edge film technology, the TFBR series is suited for high-frequency applications including braking, snubbing and discharge.
SMD shunt resistors range from 0.2 to 3mΩ & 0.5 to 4mΩ
Designed as an alternative to the MSR through-hole style, the CRS family of SMD shunt resistors has been released by ARCOL Resistors. The family consists of two members, both of which offer the advantage of lower ohmic values. The CRS1575 SMD shunt resistor ranges from 0.2 to 3mΩ, while the CRS1050 SMD shunt resistor ranges from 0.5 to 4mΩ.
A no mess alternative to conventional thermal pastes
Easily trimmed to required sizes with minimal wastage, the TGR200 thermal transfer sheet has been introduced by ARCOL. This no-shrink, 100% coverage, no mess alternative to conventional thermal pastes is supplied as a flexible dry mat, providing high performance heat transfer without the need for wasteful and messy assembly processes.
High voltage, thick film resistors operate to +225°C
With three versions available, the ARC series of versatile, high-quality, non-inductive, high voltage, thick film resistors have been announced by ARCOL Resistors. The devices target a variety of applications, including high voltage medical systems, test and measuring equipment, HV power supplies, high specification instrumentation, voltage dividers, measuring equipment, electrostatic and current limiting devices.
Resistors' low inductance suited to high frequency operation
The TFBR series of high power density, low profile thick-film technology high power resistors has been launched by ARCOL Resistors. Designed for easy assembly and supplied with a variety of terminal styles, the thick-film technology, low-inductance design, lends itself to high frequency operation due to its low inductance characteristics. The added benefit of high instantaneous pulse capacity also makes the TFBR suitable for braking, snubbing and...
ARCOL Resistors Provide Heat in Space Probe
ARCOL Resistors has a great deal of experience of providing products for custom requirements but faced a unique challenge when asked to provide resistors for a space programme. The THEMIS heliophysics constellation of satellites was commissioned by NASA to investigate what causes auroras in the Earth's atmosphere to dramatically change from slowly shimmering waves of light to wildly shifting streaks of colour.
