Anritsu Corporation has announced that its joint collaboration with Samsung Electronics’ System LSI Business on 5G NR Standalone mode test has achieved approval of key test scenarios by the Global certification Forum (GCF) and PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB).

The new software options are LTE-V2X Tx Measurement MX887068A and LTE-V2X Waveforms MV887068A and offer the industry's fastest, fully automatic, non-signalling based LTE-V2X TRx tests.

Anritsu Signal Quality Analyser-R Series MP1900A has been approved as a USB 3.2 Electrical Compliance Test instrument by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). To transfer high-resolution, large streaming-video data at faster speeds, USB data transmission speeds are progressing to ten and 20 Gbit/s per lane (USB 3.2 and USB4, respectively).

The VectorStar ME7838G broadband vector network analyser (VNA) from Anritsu is said to be the industry’s first VNA capable of making measurements from 70kHz to 220GHz in a single sweep.

What is said to be the world’s first PCI Express (PCIe) 5.0 Rx LEQ Test System supporting compliance test items is being demonstrated by Anritsu and Synopsys at DesignCon 2020 in Santa Clara (January 28-30). The solution uses Anritsu’s Signal Quality Analyser-R MP1900a series PCI Express 5.0 test system and Synopsys’ DesignWare IP for PCIe.

A modular 1-port Vector Network Analyser (VNA) that supports measurement frequencies up to 43.5GHz has been introduced by Anritsu. With 8GHz and 20GHz models also available in the series, the Anritsu ShockLine MS46131A USB VNA brings cost and efficiency advantages to measuring antennas and other 1-port 5G devices at sub-6GHz, as well as in the 28GHz and 39GHz millimeter wave bands.

Advanced solutions supporting the latest 5G standards and network deployments will be exhibited by Anritsu at Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona (February 24-27). During the conference, Anritsu will highlight the key test and monitoring solutions for 5G device and application testing, Conformance Testing, C-V2X, Field Installation and Testing, C-RAN deployment, Advanced Analytics and Telco Cloud Support.

At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Anritsu and dSPACE, will jointly demonstrate an unparalleled integration of a 5G network emulator in a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system to develop next generation automotive applications for connected vehicles.

A new option has been added to Anritsu’s Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A to support the latest IEEE 802.11ax. The Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A (WLAN Tester) is for measuring the RF TRx characteristics of WLAN IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax devices.

A PCI Express test solution, supporting the Gen5 Base Specification Stressed Receiver Test has been introduced by Anritsu. The new solution uses Anritsu’s Signal Quality Analyser-R MP1900A Series, which offers Automation Software for Base Specification Calibration and BER Measurement Software supporting the SKP Filter.

The PCS Type Certification Review Board Validation group (PVG) has approved the highest number of 5G New Radio (NR) Protocol Conformance tests on Anritsu’s 5G NR Mobile Device Test Platform ME7834NR at their PVG#87 meeting in Berlin last month.

Anritsu is working with Verkotan Oy to supply 5G network equipment and 5G modem/phone customers with cutting-edge testing methods. Verkotan Oy is a high technology Over-the-Air (OTA) testing and certification test laboratory that offers e.g. high quality and demanding 5G-antenna measurement services to antenna vendors, mobile network equipment manufacturers and network operators in sophisticated test environment. 

  This webinar from Anritsu focused on beam management principles and test methods in 5G NR. It covered the technical aspects of Sub6 GHz and mmWave frequencies. Delegates were able to gain an understanding of beam management in the context of massive MIMO and Channel Emulation.

Anritsu says it is leading the way in both 5G protocol and RF carrier acceptance test (CAT) coverage for a Tier 1 U.S. operator. Anritsu has achieved leading 5G protocol coverage, with more than 200 test cases now available. The only other approved test vendor is validated for 81% of Anritsu’s total, giving Anritsu an advantage at mobile device manufacturers planning to use the operator’s carrier acceptance tests.

The PAM4 Error Detector (ED) is a new module for the Anritsu Signal Quality Analyser-R MP1900A series. It achieves error-free measurement of PAM4 signals at 116Gbit/s. Combined with the previously released MP1900A series PAM4 Pattern Generator, the new module supports high-accuracy BER measurements of PAM4 signals.  

Anritsu’s Signal Quality Analyser-R Series MP1900A has been approved by PCI-SIG as a compliance test measuring instrument for PCI Express 4.0 (PCIe Gen4). The MP1900A is already approved as an R&D test instrument supporting Gen3 compliance tests and is now approved for the Gen4 test standards.

Extended broadband frequency coverage from 9kHz – 170GHz is now available on Anritsu’s Spectrum Master MS2760A ultraportable spectrum analyser series. The company has also introduced a new series of higher sensitivity models – the Spectrum Master MS2762A - with coverage from 6GHz to 170GHz for demanding sensitivity requirements.

Upgraded 5G Protocol Test functions have been added to Anritsu’s MT8000A Radio Communication Test Station. The upgrade uses NR (New Radio) Fading software when implementing built-in baseband fading tests, making the MT8000A to provide support for 3GPP TS 38.521-4 B.1/B.2 V15.0.0-compliant 5G NR channel (TDL) model tests using NR Fading software implementing built-in baseband fading tests.
