Tiny connector enables hot swap capabilities on DC circuits
Anderson Power Products has introduced the SBS Mini, the company's smallest DC power connector yet. The SBS Mini securely holds two crimp and poke contacts with sacrificial tips to enable hot swap capabilities on DC circuits. The low resistance contacts accept 20 to 10AWG (0.75 to 4.0mm²) wires allowing up to 52A (UL rated) performance per position.
Connectors designed for single-phase AC applications
Anderson Power Products (APP) introduces the Saf-D-Grid 300, designed specifically for single-phase AC applications requiring higher voltages, smaller size and expanded current carrying capability. Saf-D-Grid 300 builds upon the performance of the 400VDC Saf-D-Grid connector, using the same silver-plated, pure copper contact system and durable thermoplastic insulators.
Environmental boots shield connectors from water & dirt
Anderson Power Product now offers Environmental Boots to protect their dual pole SB 50, SB 120 and SB 175 connectors from water, dirt, chemicals and UV. The IP64 rated, durable soft sided Environmental Boots’ shield the SB connectors from water and dirt in both the mated and unmated condition.
Connector housing accommodates AWG & mm² wire sizes
An IP64 rated connector housing, suitable for use both indoors and out, has been released by Anderson Power Products. Featuring a soft shell, the SB50 Environmental Boot is designed to protect the company’s SB 50 and SB 120 connectors from water, dirt, chemicals and UV light. The housing provides this protection in both mated and unmated conditions.
IP68 connectors with a first mate, last break ground contact
Expanding the Mid Power SPEC Pak connector family, Anderson Power Products has announced that the connector is available with a first mate, last break ground contact capable of accepting 6-10awg (13.3-5.3mm²) wire. This makes the Mid Power SPEC Pak suitable for 3 phase, 4 wire configurations up to 600V AC and 80A.
Environmentally sealed connector houses 5 positions
Environmentally sealed and touch safe, Anderson Power Products has announced the addition of a 5 Position offering to the Mini SPEC Pak connector family. Power handling capabilities up to 23A and 600V AC/DC per pole allow more power in a smaller waterproof (IP68) shell than competing solutions.
Compact, panel mount connector achieves 22A at 600V
Expanding the company's 3 Position Mini PL family of SPEC Pak sealed connectors, Anderson Power Products has announced the Panel Mount Connector. Capable of achieving 22A at 600V AC/DC (according to UL tests), the compact, panel mountable connector is secured to a panel via a jam nut and features a manual release latch to prevent accidental un-mating.
Saf-D-Grid DC power connectors are now halogen free
In order to help equipment manufacturers meet eco-friendly requirements, Anderson Power Products have announced that the Saf-D-Grid Ultra Short Receptacle connectors are now being manufactured in a halogen free, high temperature housing material. The company believe that Saf-D-Grid is the only connector system so sized that is UL rated for safe disconnect of a 400V DC, 20A load.

Anderson Power Products has today unveiled a new addition to the SBS connector family with the release of their new 3 pole SBS75G connector. The SBS connector family features PCB-to-wire and wire-to-wire solutions for up to 110 amps. Low resistance silver plated contacts for wire sizes from #6 AWG (16 mm²) to 16 AWG (1.5 mm²) are held inside compact and ergonomic housings with a touch-safe interface.
