andersDX has launched a range of larger high performance circular displays of 3” and 4.2” diameter, aimed particularly at automotive, industrial and marine dashboards. The displays complement andersDX existing range of TFT, PMOLED and OLED modules of just over 1” diameter, which are aimed at wearable applications.

  Custom and semi-custom display company, andersDX, has added small TFT displays with an easy to integrate SPI interface and a power consumption of 3mA. The new displays are suitable for a host of applications from handheld devices such as remote controls or test equipment for industrial, medical and consumer electronics.

Customised displays that can allow customers to deliver their design goals on time and on budget will be showcased at EDS in Coventry (October 18-19). The stand will feature engineering optimised starter kits for very fast proof of concepts and a wealth of different display technologies that can be brought together to create innovative solutions.

The user experience is often the dominant metric by which markets judge products like smart appliances, data loggers, electronic security equipment or medical technology.   The addition of a round AMOLED display to its range for wearable and instrumentation applications has been announced by andersDX. A new and cost-effective 7” PCAP touchscreen display module that achieves readability over a wide viewing angle, even in high ambient light conditions, has been launched by andersDX. The display is based on moth-eye film, which andersDX can also supply on other displays. The moth eye film surface treatment applied to this 7” TFT display greatly uses technology which mimics the microsized lenses in the eye of a moth.

A high performance 16:6 aspect ratio 'letterbox' IPS TFT display has been released by andersDX which allows designers to revolutionise dashboards and instrument panel design. The new andersDX letterbox display offers an IPS TFT screen in a form factor. It provides a high contrast image that can be easily viewed over a wide angle even in bright sunlight and unfavourable conditions. 

In order to address continuing demand for passive mono displays from smart meter, medical and industrial customers, andersDX has estabilished a partnership with Techshine, which offers transmissive and transflective displays and is able to tool full custom displays with a low minimum order quantity.

Truly Semiconductor, a major global manufacturer of TFT and AMOLED displays, has strengthened its presence in the UK by appointing andersDX as a direct sales representative. The announcement gives the UK’s largest OEMs access to Truly’s 1 million sq. mt. of display manufacturing capacity through expert local support.

andersDX has announced that it is extending its semi-custom display service to 7 and 10.1” colour TFT displays, which can be cut to a specified height to suit the space available. The semi-custom service also includes adding touch control and other features, but the initial NRE (non-recurring engineering) cost is less than one-tenth the normal upfront charge.

andersDX has announced that it is extending its custom and semi-custom display range with 15.6 and 21.5” screens. andersDX and its supplier Data Image can customise displays in volumes as low as 800 units per month. andersDX now offers custom and semi-custom colour TFT screens from 1.1” to 21.5”.

andersDX has extended its Intel Bay Trail based family of DX86 Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch display platforms with the addition of larger screen sizes. A 12.1” version is available now and a 15.6” version will be released soon, complementing the existing 7” and 10.1” screen sizes.

Backed by design-in support delivered by its display specialists, andersDX has created a portfolio of technologies to address EMC issues with capacitive touch screen assemblies. The technologies are available to customers approaching andersDX for a complete touch screen assembly.

andersDX has released round TFT touch screens designed specifically for the growing market for wearable electronics, in partciualr, those within the healthcare and fitness sectors. Manufactured by Guangdong based display module specialist Truly Semiconductor, the round modules are also an attractive option for a number of industrial applications.

andersDX has taken its embedded display platforms into the world of Intel with the launch of a updated version based on the Intel Celeron N2930 quadcore processor and running Windows Embedded 7. The company offers developers a plug-and-play evaluation kit to rapidly proof out new product concepts and build prototypes. The same hardware can be customised to form the basis of the production system.

Upgrading from character modules to colour TFT displays just became a whole lot easier, as andersDX announces that it will customise its QVGA colour TFT module to fit into front panel slots designed for popular character modules. andersDX will customise and adapt the module to fit into the existing case aperture, designing a bezel or housing to create a perfect fit.
