A CCTV traffic system upgrade drives better journeys in Belfast
AMG Systems has been commissioned to help digitise the traffic monitoring system for newly-extended hard shoulder bus lanes on Belfast’s main motorways, to make it more efficient, secure and reliable. The upgrade hopes to enhance passenger journeys by improving the quality of real-time information sent to traffic management teams.
Small and tough mini media converter for security and transport
AMG Systems has launched a Mini media converter specially designed to be robust enough to withstand the challenging extremes of temperature which can face security and transport camera and device installations. The ruggedised 9HMEC Mini media converters are small enough to be installed in the confined spaces provided by camera poles and street cabinets, and tough enough to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 70°C.
Partnership for single-source, total network solutions
It has been announced that AMG Systems has partnered with Juniper Networks to offer its clients a single-source, enterprise-level, total networking solution. Customers will now be able to take advantage of both AMG’s specialised edge of network transmission systems for video security and other devices and Juniper’s core Layer 3 backbone networks, all provided by a single-source supplier.
Video surveillance network provided for iPort Rail terminal
A video surveillance system installed by Daemon Fire & Security, based on an AMG Systems-supplied Ethernet switch network, is helping to protect the UK’s first new inland rail freight hub for over a decade: iPort Rail. The iPort project near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, offers six million square feet of space across 337 acres.
Increasing large scale site security
A new range of compact, industrial grade 1, 2 and 4 port media converters, unmanaged and semi-managed switches have been introduced by AMG. These network devices are designed specifically for deployment in IP CCTV security applications where size constraints exist and where 24/7 reliability for high bandwidth external cameras is demanded.
Whitepaper explores IP video network design basics
AMG has produced a free downloadable whitepaper that guides readers through the basics of IP video network design. Written expressly for those who have analogue CCTV knowledge and who want to understand the basics of IP video system design, the whitepaper takes into account the significant changes in technology that have taken place over the past 15 years. It looks specifically at:
