Releasing a major update to their enterprise PCB design data management solution, Altium has released an update of Altium Vault. This update includes a number of new features to improve the automation and management of design data, with updates to every major feature category including component management, data management, project collaboration and infrastructure management. Altium Vault 2.5 is available now to all Vault subscription customers.

Never before seen roadmaps for Altium's product lineup have been publicly released. These roadmaps provide a rare glimpse into years of development plans for the company’s PCB focused design and management tools, including Altium Designer, Altium Vault, PCBWorks, CircuitStudio, and CircuitMaker. Altium has announced the release of PCBWorks, a PCB design tool engineered specifically for collaboration with mechanical designers in SOLIDWORKS. This design tool strengthens the Altium product portfolio, offering a never-before-seen collaboration process between electronic and mechanical design teams. PCBWorks is available globally through a certified network of SOLIDWORKS resellers.

Altium Limited has released an extension for its flagship PCB design tool, Altium Designer. MCAD Co-Designer: SOLIDWORKS helps to facilitate collaboration between mechanical and electronic design teams with integrated design data, a managed change environment for design revisions, and lifecycle management for component creation, among other features.

Altium Limited has announced an open beta programme for their community-driven PCB design tool. CircuitMaker will be available worldwide to all interested electronics designers and aims to address the unique needs of the electronics maker and hobbyist community with a free software offering. Altium has released the latest version of its PCB design tool, Altium Designer 15.1. Included in this release are a number of new features to improve design efficiency with expansions to productivity, documentation and high-speed design. The latest update to Altium Designer is available now for all Altium Subscription customers. 

Altium has announced the latest release of its TASKING C compiler suite for the RH850 architecture from Renesas Electronics. v2.2r1 supports RH850 MCU variants (RH850/C1x, RH850/D1x, RH850/E1x, RH850/P1x and RH850/R1x), code optimisation improvements and an integrated on-chip debugger. Altium will support future RH850 variants, including specialised solutions for new on-chip modules.

  Announcing the next update to its flagship PCB design tool, Altium has revealed that Altium Designer 15.1 will introduce several new features for improved design productivity, documentation outputs and high-speed design efficiency.

A PCB design tool, developed to enhance the workflow collaboration between electrical and mechanical designers, has been released by Altium. Developed to address the communication and file compatibility issues experienced by electrical and mechanical design teams, PCBWorks provides a set of collaboration tools to integrate design data with SolidWorks mechanical design software. 

From 5th to 7th May this year, Leonardy Electronics will host its High-Speed Design conference for the third time, in co-operation with Altium. The event consists of individual modules, allowing participants to register for either one, three or four days. On May 8, there will be an opportunity to book an additional training session with an Altium Designer expert.

  In an effort to simplify the visual inspection and debugging process of electronic schematics, Altium and Valydate have partnered, integrating the ValydateVERA design analysis and verification tool into the Altium Designer.  

Altium has updated its next-gen enterprise data management and collaboration platform, with Altium Vault2.1.
