Alcon Components have announced the launch of their next generation of Civilian Armoured Vehicle (CAV) brake upgrade kits, which are an extension of the existing range and now cater for a wider range of SUVs and other modified vehicles.

Alcon Components has announced the launch of a new brake upgrade kit for the Ford F550 to support the performance off-road, specialist, armoured and defence vehicle sectors. The 6-piston caliper and pad kit is compatible with the stock OEM actuation and stability control system, so is easy to fit but has been fully 'ruggedised' to ensure extreme levels of robustness and performance are balanced with the requirement to keep weight to a minimum.

Alcon Components has been selected by BASE to become their preferred supplier of specialist vehicle braking systems. Under this partnership, Alcon will provide BASE with bespoke solutions to meet the demanding requirements of specialist axles for use in harsh environments such as off-highway, defence, security and other demanding applications.

Patricia, global provider of armoured wheeled vehicles, has been selected with their 6x6 platform to be part of a joint programme to develop sustained mobility enhancement for the Finnish and Latvian Armies. Alcon Components is the principal supplier of braking components for Patria’s heavy armoured vehicle range, and specifically the Patria 6x6.

Internationally acclaimed high performance brake system design, development and manufacturing company, Alcon Components signed the British Armed Forces Covenant at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Friday 5th July 2019. In signing this covenant, Alcon undertakes a commitment to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces communities.

Alcon are offering a 25% discount for any new enquiry for trial brake upgrade kits, received before 28th February 2019.
