Aiways successfully completes ED1000 challenge

AIWAYS U5 all-electric SUV arrives in Corsica

AIWAYS, the Shanghai-based personal mobility provider, has arrived in Europe following delivery of the first batch of U5 all-electric SUVs in Corsica. The cars join the rental fleet at Hertz Corsica, operated by local company Filippi Auto, and are now available for residents and tourists to rent.

AIWAYS starts shipping first cars overseas

AIWAYS has revealed further details of its ‘sandwich’ structure battery pack, which improves stability and significantly reduces the risk of battery safety incidents. By separating the dry and wet areas of the cell, AIWAYS negates the risk of coolant leakage – a cause of more than 80% of battery safety incidents.

Epic EV drive from China to Western Europe

AIWAYS has crossed the bridge from Asia to Europe on the latest stage of its 14,231km prototype engineering drive from China to Western Europe. A pair of prototype AIWAYS U5 battery-electric SUVs departed Xi’an in China on 17th July and, after 7,013km, the convoy crossed China and Kazakhstan, arriving in the city of Kazan in Russia.

All-electric SUV on display at Frankfurt central station

AIWAYS is set to grow its European profile further with a public exhibition at Frankfurt’s central train station. Two U5 all-electric SUV models are part of a 180-square-meter display, the ‘AIWAYS Automobil-Ausstellung’ (AAA), located inside the station’s reception hall for 13 days in September.

Guinness World Record with China-to-Germany EV prototype

AIWAYS has completed its epic 15,022km road trip from China to Western Europe, which set a new Guinness World Record title in the process. The ‘longest journey by an electric vehicle (prototype)’ record was achieved by the AIWAYS U5 Engineering Drive Team (China), driving an AIWAYS U5, starting in Xi’an, Shanxi, China and ending in Frankfurt, Germany, from 17th July 2019 to 7th September 2019.
