Wiwynn introduces next-gen Edge server lines and cooling
Wiwynn will showcase its next-gen Edge computing solutions and cooling technologies at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024, located at booth 5A61, Taiwan Pavilion.
The spotlight will be on the Wiwynn ES100G2, ES200G2, and EP100G2 Edge servers, all powered by the 5th Gen Intel Xeon Processor, NVQual-Certified, and NEBS Level 3 standards compliant. They aim to empower telcos, Edge service providers, and CDN providers to unlock new opportunities in networking and Edge computing with enhanced efficiency and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in the era of AI and ubiquitous connectivity.
Wiwynn ES200G2, a 2U single-socket Edge server, presents a comprehensive platform for Edge AI and vRAN workloads. Packed with CPU built-in acceleration, two dual-width GPUs, four NVMe SSD, and network scale-out capability in a compact short-depth form factor, ES200G2 is ideal for AI inference and training, 3D graphics, rendering, and video analytics, all-in-one vRAN as well as multi-access Edge computing (MEC). This makes it stand out as the ultimate choice for service providers seeking versatility and flexibility, for applications, such as CDN, smart city, and smart factory.
On the other hand, Wiwynn ES100G2, a short-depth 1U single socket Edge server, is an optimised vRAN/NFV platform in the far Edge. Engineered with CPU built-in accelerator and telemetry, multiple I/O expansions and silicon-based security, it caters to networking workloads such as vRAN CU/DU and software-defined networks, facilitating communication service providers in achieving more manageable and more efficient deployments.
Wiwynn’s EP100G2, a 3U5N/3U3N short-depth server platform, offers flexibility with server nodes in 1U or 2U configurations, catering to various CPU power and GPU options. Designed for 5G Open vRAN and MEC application deployments, the EP100G2’s single-CPU server node design not only streamlines workload deployment at scale, but also simplifies configurations and management, empowering telcos with greater flexibility, efficiency, and scalability.
Additionally, Wiwynn presents its direct-to-chip liquid cooling solutions, addressing the rising demand for compute acceleration and power density in the AI era. Wiwynn extends its liquid cooling solutions beyond cloud data centres to the Edge. The move enables Edge data centres, core networks, and telecom rooms to meet AI computing power needs effectively while improving cooling efficiency.
“We're thrilled to introduce Wiwynn’s comprehensive Edge server lines and state-of-the-art cooling technologies at MWC2024,” said Steven Lu, Wiwynn’s Executive Vice President. “They embody our mission of providing workload, TCO and energy-optimised solutions. We’re geared up to partner with more telcos, Edge service providers, CDN providers and system integrators, facilitating rich Edge applications in the AI era while striking a balance between performance, efficiency, scalability and energy.”
