Portwell Announces High Performance Gaphics And PCI Express Expansion
Portwell Technology have announced their PICMG 1.3 SHB ROBO-8111VG2AR, ideal for a wide range of applications across several fields including Factory Automation, Image Processing, Kiosk, Medical, and Military. The PICMG 1.3 SHB ROBO-8111VG2AR features the latest 22NM intel processors, based on the third generation Intel Core processors and the latest Intel Xeon processors manufactured on 22nm process technology with energy efficient architecture.
PortROBO-8111VG2AR is also offered with the 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor family with an integrated, enhanced graphics engine which provides significant 3D performance, up to DirectX 11 and OpenGL 3.1 for a broad range of embedded applications. Supporting optimized Intel® Turbo Boost Technology and Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, the 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor family provides higher performance and increases processing efficiency. The Intel® Core™ processors are paired with the Intel® Q77 Express chipset.
The ROBO-8111VG2AR has cross-compatibility with the Intel® 6-series chipset and the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processors which helps reduce the cost and time for board level design.
The Portwell ROBO-8111VG2AR integrates dual Intel® Gigabit Ethernet LAN chips capable of supporting Intel® Active Management Technology 8.0 and also features four SATA ports which support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 modes (two ports at 6Gb/s and two ports at 3Gb/s). ROBO-8111VG2AR with two serial ports (one RS232 and one RS232/422/485 selectable) supports legacy devices while it also provides one parallel port for traditional factory automation applications. The new feature, USB 3.0, provides upgraded bandwidth from 480Mbps to 5Gbps, greatly reducing the time for data transfer.
Having the ability to run multiple displays from one board is still popular in the market and the Intel® chipsets offer versatile display interfaces. ROBO-8111VG2AR equips several display types, such as DVI-I (DVI-D + VGA) on bracket and HDMI on board, and it can run dual integrated displays simultaneously.
