New LTE antennas make the perfect connection even with weak signals and inside buildings. The new mobile radio standard LTE (Long Term Evolution) should provide private households and companies with fast Internet access, particularly in rural areas. To obtain the optimum data connection in any location, Funkwerk Dabendorf has developed an antenna which gets the full performance out of the network even in places where conventional routers or sticks come up against their limits.
Depending on the provider and tariff, LTE promises data volumes of up to 50 MBit/s. This enables up to ten times faster surfing than with a DSL connection. Even at the edge of a network cell, the signal is clearly attenuated. Nor does it arrive where it is needed without loss: to the inside of buildings. Heat insulation glazing and reinforced concrete walls also play their part in further impairing the data transmission.

The new LTE external antenna from Funkwerk Dabendorf transmits the full LTE power. Two directional antennas are integrated in the housing, which support the MIMO technology (Multiple Input Multiple Output) used in LTE. The resulting antenna gain is 8dBi, making the LTE connection fast and stable even at great distances from the transmitter. The compact external unit stands up to the weather, is non-flammable and UV-resistant.

Funkwerk Dabendorf offers an RG 174 twin cable to bring the LTE performance into the building. With a length of 5 m and a diameter of 2 x 2.7 mm it offers optimum flexibility for laying from the outside to the inside. It bridges stretches where the architecture acts as a natural hindrance to radio connections. Once the signal has been safely received, it can supply several computers without any problem. Its performance is sufficient for modern online cinema and TV, and even large company servers are no longer undersupplied.

Funkwerk Dabendorf has put its many years of experience in high-frequency and antenna technology into the development of the LTE antenna. This is in use in its millions for mobile communication, particularly in the automotive industry. With the increasing performance of mobile radio, the Brandenburg company has now applied its know-how and expertise in transmission reliability and connection stability to stationary applications, first with the Home Compenser and the active antenna for UMTS, and now with the new LTE Antenna.

The recommended retail price of LTE antenna is € 89.90 and € 19.90 for the cable.
