By introducing two innovative product families, RAFI is taking advantage of the benefits offered by the IO-Link interface in terms of particularly simple network integration and device configuration.

With the E-BOX IO-LINK, the HMI specialist is providing a new version of its field-compatible pushbutton boxes for decentralised operation of simple control tasks, which can be integrated into any fieldbus via its IO-Link interface.

With the M12 connection, the operating unit, which combines two illuminated pushbuttons from the RAFIX 22 FS+ range of control devices in an extremely slim IP65 housing, can be easily installed and commissioned even by untrained personnel.

The IO-Link device identification prevents incorrect installation, as incorrectly installed devices are reported to the control system.

The illuminated pushbuttons of the E-BOX, which have a concise tactile feedback thanks to the integrated MICON 5 short-travel pushbutton, can be customised remotely with a variety of functions via IO-Link.

These include a night mode with different brightness levels and free colour selection of the pushbutton illumination in five standard or three individually adjustable RGB colours from a colour space with 16 million different colours.

In addition, the push-buttons can be configured with four different flashing modes for different applications.

The multiple parameterisation options for push-button colours, brightness and flashing modes reduce the effort required for stock-keeping, as the E-BOX IO-LINK can be easily configured for different requirements via the control system.

RAFI supplies printed or unprinted FLEXLAB labelling sheets for individual labelling of the pushbuttons.

With their compact dimensions of 123.2 mm x 40 mm x 35.6 mm, the control units are ideal for mounting on 40 mm wide profile rails of production equipment or safety fences.

For mounting in profile rail grooves and on flat mounting surfaces, a mounting clip included in the scope of delivery is used, onto which the E-BOX is simply snapped.

The products are available at distributor Burklin Elektronik.
