Huawei Successfully Demonstrates End-to-End 100G and IP RAN Interoperability in EANTC's Tests
Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today announced that its NE series routers have successfully completed multi-vendor interoperability tests by the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC) within an end-to-end 100G domain. These tests demonstrate Huawei's leadership in next-generation super-capacity routers and IP RAN routing solutions for mobile backhaul.
As tThe success of Huawei's NE5000E and NE40E in the 100GE port interoperability test demonstrated the E2E 100G solution with Huawei OptiX OTN products, reinforcing the strength of Huawei's leading edge IP and optical integrated network solutions. Huawei's CX series products and NE series products, which were tested for IP RAN interoperability, successfully completed tests in MultiProtocol Label Switching - Transport Profile (MPLS-TP), Ethernet OAM, and IEEE 1588v2 multi-vendor interoperability, highlighting the advantages of Huawei's IP RAN solution in bandwidth expansion, IEEE 1588v2 deployment, service protection based on MPLS-TP, and quick fault locating and identification. The Huawei IP RAN routing solution provides a smooth transition to LTE, bandwidth expansion in fixed-mobile convergence (FMC), IEEE 1588v2 interoperability, E2E engineering and deployment, and industry-leading fault locating and identification capacity.
To date, Huawei has provided carrier IP products and solutions to leading global telecom operators, including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, France Telecom, Telefónica, and SingTel. According an Ovum survey, Huawei ranks third in the global IP market, as of the third quarter of 2010.
