COM Express Compact SBC powered by AMD embedded SoC

Delivering up to 70% overall improvement over the AMD G-series APUs, the quad-core/dual core G-series SoC provides higher performance with low power consumption. The AMD G-series SoC also features updated expansion interfaces, including one PCIe x4, four PCIe x1, one LAN, eight USB, two SATA (SATA 3.0 with data transfer rate up to 6Gb/s), one LPC, one I²C, one SMBus, two serial, and 8-bit Digital I/O for device controls. These flexible interfaces allow systems to process a higher data load and provide faster loading of frequently used applications.

The KB968 features three display interfaces: one VGA providing resolution up to 2048x1536 at 60Hz; one LVDS providing 18-bit, single channel, resolution up to 1600x900 at 60Hz; and one DisplayPort offering resolution up to 4096x2160 at 30Hz. The graphics-rich SBC has an advanced discrete-level GPU integrated in the processor to support high-end enhanced media and graphics capabilities. Additionally, the COM Express Compact supports hardware acceleration for DirectX 11.1, H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC, VC-1 and WMV, ensuring excellent graphics capability, and High Definition Audio interface.

Supporting up to 8 GB DDR3 SODIMM system memory, the SBC has an optional onboard SSD (with maximum write speeds of 30MB/s and maximum read speeds of 70MB/s) for data storage. Compliant with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u and IEEE 802.3ab, the KB968 features an Intel WGI210AT gigabit Ethernet controller and an integrated 10/100/1000GbE transceiver. With dimensions of 95x95mm, the COM Express Compact SBC supports Windows XP Professional x86 & SP3 (32-bit), Windows XP Professional x64 & SP2 (64-bit), Windows 7 Ultimate x86 & SP1 (32-bit), Windows 7 Ultimate x64 & SP1 (64-bit), Windows 8 Enterprise x86 (32-bit) and Windows 8 Enterprise x64 (64-bit).
