DFI Combines Power and Performance using the Intel Xeon Processor E3-1200v2 Family-Based ATX Board that Supports 3 Independent Displays

DFI brings the latest Intel Xeon processor to the CL630-CRM ATX board. It is DFI’s first ATX board supporting the new Intel C216 Express chipset. This ATX board supports the Intel Xeon processor E3-1200v2 family built on 22-nanometer process technology and boasts a 15% CPU performance increase over the previous generation.
The supported processors with up to 8-way multi-task processing are the Intel Xeon processor E3-1275v2 and Intel Xeon processor E3-1225v2. These processors offer higher performance at lower power consumption than the previous generation Intel Xeon processors which are also supported on this embedded board.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 engine delivers up to 50% 3D graphics performance improvement and up to 1.8x HD to HD transcode performance increase. The HDMI and 2 DVI graphics interfaces can simultaneously display high definition images in 3 independent displays. The Intel Clear Video HD Technology provides advanced imaging capability for Blu Ray and other high definition video processing. Graphics APIs include DirectX 11, OCL 1.1, and OGL 3.1. All these built-in graphics design provide faster HD video processing and streaming without the need of a discrete graphics card.

This workstation platform offers cost saving solution through better manageability and improved security with a new version of Intel vPro Technology (including Intel Active Management Technology 8.0 and Intel Trusted Execution Technology) which enables you to better manage and secure your computers with client isolation, network filtering, security agents and anti-virus protection. Performance is further increased through the introduction of Intel Advanced Vector Extensions to the instruction set, providing acceleration of complex audio, video, and image processing.

In addition, this new platform supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and the Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, which enables each processor core to handle two instruction threads and dynamically increase the clock speed when all cores are not fully utilized. This provides increased performance over the previous generation platform for both multi-core and non-multi-core optimized application programs.

CL630-CRM also introduces Intel Rapid Start Technology which allows faster resume from a standby mode and the Intel Smart Response Technology which allows faster loading of frequently used applications.

The board supports DDR3 DIMM up to 1600MHz for faster communication between components. It also supports 5.1-channel HD audio with S/PDIF input/output interface and 2 Intel Gigabit LAN with increased transmission speed for network-intensive applications.

Not only does the board run faster, it is also packed with high performance I/O via the Intel C216 Express chipset. The 4 USB 3.0 allows your system to process more data load. The board also provides 8 USB 2.0, 2 SATA 3.0 ports with speed up to 6Gb/s for applications that need fast storage speed, 4 Serial ATA 2.0 ports with speed up to 3Gb/s, 8 digital I/O ports for device controls and 6 Serial COM ports, two of which supports RS232/422/485 with hardware auto flow control to fulfill the demand of industrial application.

The ATX board offers additional expansion capability via 2 PCIe x16 slots for high performance graphics displays, 2 PCIe x4 for RAID controller cards, and 3 PCI slots. 1 Mini PCIe slot with USB and PCIe x1 signals provides you the flexibility to use a variety of Mini PCIe modules such as Wi-Fi, TV Tuner, video capture and 3.5G.

All these combined features make the CL630-CRM an ideal choice for industrial control automation, medical equipment, telecom, and transportation.
