Autotech has joined the British Automation Robotics Association (BARA). Headquartered in Wallington, Surrey, the association is the voice of the robotics and automation industries in their dealings with government, industry and financial and academic institutions.
BARA has been promoting the use and development of automation in UK industry since 1979 and has over 40 members. Says Nigel Brookes, Autotech’s Sales Director, “BARA is an influential organisation that we are delighted to be joining and we can see a number of benefits of membership for us and, ultimately, our clients.”

Autotech has considerable experience in robotic applications, particularly in the automotive industry. The company uses Siemens' advanced Tecnomatix Robcad software to simulate robotic work-cells, allowing manufacturing solutions to be proven fully before delivery to site. Robcad allows Autotech to generate fully optimised robot paths and PLC code, using off-line programming to cut costs, improve quality, eradicate design errors and accelerate time-to-market. A Siemens Solution Partner, Autotech is the only controls company in the UK able to provide this comprehensive simulation service.
