American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS), introduced a 7 inch widescreen fanless touch panel PC designed for building, factory automation, SCADA, and human-machine interface (HMI) applications. The NEMA 12 Industrial panel PC features feature the IntelÂ® Atom processor, providing fanless, efficient, reliable performance with minimal power consumption. The latest Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems are supported by the touchscreen operator interfaces systems. A widescreen LED backlit LCD display and touch screen Human Machine Interface (HMI) are integrated into the system allowing users to control, monitor, and program directly from the information terminal. The touch screen fanless Panel PC can be integrated directly into your PAC, PLC, DCS, factory SCADA systems, operator terminals and automation applications.

The AIS 7 widescreen touch panel pc features a compact rugged steel housing and the aluminum front bezel is sealed to IP54 standards for excellent water/dustproof protection; enabling the systems to operate in the adverse conditions. The systesm features communication ports supporting RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet for Modbus or Modbus/TCP protocols enabling connectivity to a variety of control systems. The LED backlight provides crisp sharp images while consuming only a fraction of the power compared to traditional backlights.

AIS´ industrial grade all-in-one 7 rugged panel pc is designed to be reliable, long lifetime support and availability, high performance, easily programmable and accessed supporting a non-proprietary-hardware based solution. With touchscreen capability, ruggedized housing, and several I/O connections, the AIS´ widescreen operator interface terminal is a powerful cost effective system that is available commercially off the shelf and is easily deployable into building, factory, and industrial automation applications. AIS´ commercial off the shelf (COTS) predesigned operator terminal provides a cost effective control interface which is easily integrated to new and existing installations reducing the time to market and competitiveness where service, availability, reliability, and technology are paramount.
