AAEON release AHP-2176 Rugged Fanless Panel PC for Harsh Environments
AAEON today unveiled the AHP-2176, a new 17” rugged panel computer designed for cost conscious system integrators and customers. The AHP-2176 is an addition to the highly acclaimed AHP wide-temperature range (-20°C - 60°C) series which comes in three sizes – 12.1”, 15” and 17”.
The The AHP-2176 is a 17” Rugged HMI Touch Panel Computer which employs an Intel Celeron 827E processor with built-in passive cooling. This fanless panel computer provides up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, two Gigabit Ethernet ports for speedy internet access, with a CompactFlash™ slot and a 2.5” SATA HDD interface for ample storage. In addition, the AHP-2176 features six USB2.0 ports, two COM ports, one PCIe Mini Card slot, one Line-out and one VGA connector. With a responsive 1280x1024 resistive touch screen and 350nits luminance, the AHP-2176 is user friendly with a vivid display.
“The AHP-2176 utilizes an aluminum IP65 certified front bezel and offers waterproof, anti-shock and anti-vibration properties fit for rugged environments. Different from other panel PCs, the AHP series offers two easy to access front USB2.0 connectors and a set of menu buttons, all of which provide IP65 rated water protection. As a fanless panel computer, the AHP-2176 is able to offer increased longevity and requires less maintenance,” says Alan Chou, Product Manager of AAEON’s Panel Appliance and Automation Division.
Utilizing advanced Over-voltage protection, Low-voltage protection, Reverse protection and Surge protection of 1000V DC, the AHP-2176 supports an input voltage of 9-30V DC and is designed for usage in places with an unstable power source. For ease of installation and optimal flexibility, the AHP-2176 supports panel, wall, desktop and VESA 100 mount options.
The AHP-2176 supports standard operating systems, such as Windows® XP, Windows® 7 and Linux Fedora.
