The LMH Range circular connectors from Weald Electronics are MIL-DTL-26482 Series 1 derived miniature bayonet locking connectors manufactured to meet the requirements of BS9522 F0017, BS/CECC 75201-003 and MIL-DTL-26482 military specification.

These 'Commercial Off the Shelf' (COTS) connectors offer features such as PCB contacts, plating options, and EMC grounding-fingers, while optional coarse ribbed coupling nuts on free connectors allow operation when using protective clothing.

The comprehensive LMH series is suitable for applications such as industrial equipment, factory automation, communications systems, tactical vehicles and defence systems.

The connector shells are manufactured from aluminium alloy and are available in various highly corrosion resistant plating finishes including ROHS compliant versions. Inserts are of polychloroprene, compounded to a WEALD specification. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. The connectors have gold plated, non-removable, solder or PCB type contacts.

To avoid mis-mating with similar connectors which when adjacently mounted, LMH connectors may be polarised by varying the insert positions within the shell providing up to four additional orientations other than Normal (N), designated W, X, Y, Z.  Additionally, up to four different shell keyways can be specified other than normal (N), designated B, C, E and F, where the insert orientation will be in the Normal (N) position.

To satisfy electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) requirements, free shells can be fitted with grounding fingers and fixed and free shells can be fitted with accessories for screened cable termination. The standard LMH range of accessories feature endbell adaptors, standard and long-length cable clamps, J-sealing glands and metal protective caps.

Weald Electronics also manufacture compatible backshells and accessories to further compliment the LMH connector series, such as the LMA19D backshell which provides 360 degree screen termination and heatshrink boot sealing and its LMD7000 series of metal dustcaps which can be specified and quickly assembled with a multitude of lanyard styles.
