ShowMeCables launches new cables

These connectors are designed to angle at 90 degrees, addressing installation challenges in densely cabled environments. The cable jackets are rated for low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) for areas where PVC is restricted, or CMX for applications requiring a communication-grade rating.

This combination of features, alongside the 10-gigabit speed of Cat 6a, makes these cable assemblies suitable for various indoor settings, including data centres, offices, industrial environments, home networks, and transportation systems.

The new line includes numerous cables with four main options.

1. Form Factor: Each assembly has a straight RJ-45 connector on one end and a choice of a right-angle, left-angle, upward-angle, or downward-angle connector on the other end. Angled connectors have a lower profile, which is beneficial for high-density patch panels or network switches, reducing the cable's bend radius and stress, thus extending its lifespan. Angled connectors also naturally direct cables along equipment or walls, improving cable management. Unlike some manufacturers who merely bend cables to create right-angle connectors, ShowMeCables uses a patented channelised pair guide that maintains the twists of the pairs, ensuring true 10 Gb performance
2. Cable Jacket Material: The LSZH-rated cables are intended for indoor use and produce minimal smoke and no halogenic gases when burned, making them safer in case of fire. LSZH is particularly recommended for shipboard, defence, and aerospace applications where PVC is prohibited. The CMX-rated cables are designed for economical indoor use with a common communication burn rating
3. Cable Length: The new range is available in eight lengths: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, or 20 feet
4. Colour: To facilitate installation and maintenance, the CMX versions are available in seven colours, while the LSZH versions come in three colours
