SAS interconnects support data rates of 6 to 10 Gbps

RoHS compliant, miniSAS interconnects ensure signal integrity to protect against data loss while significantly reducing connector size in storage systems currently using 4-lane SAS. The 0.8 mm pitch board mount connector delivers increased I/O density with higher channel capabilities, but requires less PCB space than earlier solutions.

Providing board designers with a variety of options, the miniSAS system offers three different tail lengths on the through-hole shields, kinked tails and SMT versions. The connectors come in vertical and right-angle versions for internal board-mount use and a right-angle design for external board-mount use.
