Connector and cage assemblies offer superior signal integrity
The stacked QSFP+ connector and cage assemblies from TE Connectivity are now on sale at Mouser Electronics. Offering superior signal integrity surpassing competitive solutions by up to 8dB (at 5GHz), these Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP+) stacked cage assemblies provide four channels of data in one pluggable interface. Each channel can transfer data at up to 10Gbps, meeting QSFP+ requirements.
The connector and cage assemblies include an enhanced EMI-resistant gasket and cage, feature increased panel port density, and support stacked configurations. These QSFP+ connectors are a high-speed and cost-effective alternative to fiber optics in short reach 10 Gigabit and 40G Ethernet and InfiniBand applications.
The stacked configurations on these I/O connectors increase panel port density, and the enhanced elastomeric gasket and cage design provide excellent EMI suppression with up to a 10dB advantage from 2 to 10GHz over competing solutions. Apart from its superior mechanical, thermal and electrical performance, these QSFP+ connectors support the following standard data application protocols: 10 Gigabit and 40G Ethernet; InfiniBand SDR (2.5Gbps), DDR (5Gbps) and QDR (10Gbps); and Serial attached SCSI (SAS).
TE Connectivity’s stacked QSFP+ connectors and cage assemblies are available through Mouser Electronics in 2- or 4-port configurations with a Press Fit termination style and gold contact plating.
