Lapp’s new website incorporates unique cable finding facility

To make it easy for customers to accurately specify the right product for their application Lapp has, for the first time online, introduced a unique cable finding facility called “Cablefinder”. Here, those who require specific cable products, can search using a wide range of criteria including generic cable type i.e. flexible cables, number and cross-section of cores, voltage rating, insulation material and properties such as fire resistance and screening. At each stage of criteria selection, the search is refined and, once the selection is complete, customers are left only with cables that exactly match the desired application.

“It is the simplest way to choose a cable” says Lapp’s Product Marketing Manager Matt Ansell. “It can take quite a while to identify one of 40,000 items from our 1000 page catalogue but, using “Cablefinder”, users need just a few keystrokes to identify each of our cable products that meet the users exact needs. Once selected, customers are able to download the relevant datasheet.”
