Lane Electronics has expanded its stock profile and production capability to offer customers a very wide variety of MIL-DTL-38999 qualified product on extremely short lead times – often ex.stock!! With more than One Million Euros worth of connector shells, contacts and components from Souriau and Weald Electronics held at Lane’s assembly facility, the connector specialist is ideally positioned to provide customers with a wide range of military circular connectors assembled to order and delivered from stock or within days.
Lane’s Souriau offering includes several shell variants – aluminium, plastic, stainless steel and bronze as well as Quadrax, power and fibre optic – many available in a variety of finishes and platings.

From Weald Electronics, Lane can supply the LMH series in a wide variety of shell styles, sizes and contact arrangements.

Typical of the Souriau product portfolio is the MIL-DTL-38999 Series III/JVS range which is qualified to CECC 75 201.002 and offers exceptional resistance to salt water corrosion.

Layouts are available with all contacts from the MIL-DTL-38999 range including signal, coaxial and Quadrax. A wide selection of bronze backshells is also available including non-environmental strain relief backshells, EMI/RFI cable sealing backshells, heat shrink boot adaptors and backshells for screen terminations.

The Souriau ELIO fiber optic connector range has been designed for use where severe vibration is encountered or mechanical resistance required. It is housed within the MIL-DTL-38999 connector platform and benefits from the inherent qualities of a field proven high specification military connector.

The Souriau ELIO connector range is supplied as standard with olive green Cadmium or Nickel plating and are available from 2 to 24 way, housed across five shell sizes.

The connectors are easy to install and the ‘contacts’ easy to terminate with no special tooling required. Ease of cleaning is a major benefit. Lane Electronics offers a rapid turnround, fiber termination/polishing service using parts from its extensive stocks to customer specific requirements.

With an environmental performance to MIL-DTL-38999 and EN-3645, they have an operating temperature range of -65ºC to +150ºC and an endurance of 500 mating/unmating operations. The Composite version is the only lightweight RoHS Compliant connector to have 500 hrs salt spray resistance.

As a leading franchised assembling distributor for Souriau Connection Technology, Lane Electronics also stocks and assembles MIL-DTL-38999 series I and III connectors in the newly QPL qualified Zinc Nickel plating finish to compliment the existing Cadmium, Nickel and Zinc cobalt finishes. Other connector variants stocked and assembled include JVS Nickel Aluminium Bronze, Composite and Stainless Steel body materials.

Weald’s LMH Series has been designed to perform to the requirements of MIL-C-26482 Series 1 and Patt 105. The connectors are also approved to IECQ-CECC spec BS/CECC 75201-003 and BS 9522 F0017.

Available in nine shell sizes and 33 shell styles, the LMH Series connectors can be supplied from stock with 2 to 61 contacts in 20 contact arrangements. They can also be specified in a RoHS compliant olive drab finish.

Peak working voltages can be as high as 1200V – DC or AC and a 360ºC screen termination option provides full EMC protection. Free shells with grounding fingers and PCB contacts for fixed styles are also part of the LMH Series.

Lane can provide a wide selection of accessories including J sealing glands and protective caps.
