L-com expands connectivity offering with Bulgin

These additions include power entry modules, circular power connectors, circular data connectors, push-button switches, battery holders, and fuse holders. Bulgin, a well-known manufacturer of environmentally sealed connectors and electronic components, is behind these new offerings.

The majority of L-com’s latest Bulgin products are engineered to endure harsh conditions, boasting ingress protection ratings such as IP69K, IP68, and IP66. This makes them particularly suitable for diverse applications including industrial, commercial, marine/wastewater, transportation, medical, agricultural, and food processing environments.

Among the newly introduced products are flange-mount power entry modules (PEMs) resembling C14 style AC outlets, featuring options for 6.3 mm quick-connect or 2.8 mm solder terminal connections, and each equipped with a spare fuse-holder for convenient replacement when necessary.

Bulgin’s circular power connectors are available in plug-and-socket pairs with configurations ranging from 2 to 25 contacts. They offer robust waterproof wiring and support up to 12 amps and 277 volts, with ratings up to IP68 or food-processing-grade IP69K.

Circular data connectors, offered in inline or chassis-mount versions, are available in Ethernet or USB configurations, featuring IP68 or IP69K ratings. They include damage-resistant alignment features and provide EMI protection for enhanced noise immunity.

Panel-mount push-button switches from Bulgin are designed to IP66 or IP68 specifications, ensuring panel sealing. They feature single-contact push designs, integral supply resistors, TVS protection, and vandalism resistance. Bright daylight LEDs are available in multiple colours, with LED ring illumination options.

The range also includes removable/latching drawer-style battery holders compatible with AA, C, D, or nine-volt (PP3) batteries, with mounting options for PCB, panel, or base installation. Multi-up versions are available for holding multiple batteries simultaneously.

Snap-fit-mount fuse-holders accommodate fuse sizes of 5 x 20 mm, offering panel-sealed IP68 or IP66 ratings. They include a captive drawer, integral electric shock protection, and bayonet screwdriver release mechanisms.
