Active Optical cable assemblies from TE Connectivity are in stock at authorised distributor Mouser Electronics.

These cable assemblies offer improved cable flexibility and longer reach than traditional passive copper and emerging active copper (ACC/AEC) solutions, supporting high-performance networking, storage and data centre applications.

They provide lighter-weight interconnects and a smaller bend radius than copper alternatives.

Applications cover high-speed interconnects within and between switches, high-performance computing, server-server clusters for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), routers and transport equipment and InfiniBand applications.

These optical cable assemblies offer a comprehensive range of form factors and data rates, providing a versatile solution for high-performance electronics designs.

TE Connectivity offers small form-factor pluggable (SFP), quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP), quad small form-factor pluggable double-density (QSFP-DD), and octal small form-factor pluggable (OSFP) assemblies in both straight and breakout configurations.

The cable assemblies offer 28 G NRZ, 56 G, and 112 G PAM4 per channel, delivering aggregated data rates from 25 G to 800 G. The extensive range of assemblies offers reduced power and latency, ease of installation and straightforward configurability for complicated data centre and networking applications.

Other features include low power consumption and built-in digital diagnostic functions.

The cable assemblies are hot-pluggable and RoHS compliant, and offer a commercial operating case temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
