Factory 4.0 will drive enclosures demand, OKW says

The SMART-BOX (IP 66) is also perfect for control and systems engineering, safety technology, gateways, and HVAC applications.

These robust wall-mount and tabletop enclosures are designed with separate channels for the lid screws and mounting screws, allowing installation with the lid closed. This design protects the seal and internal electronics in harsh environments.

Hinged, flush-fitting trims conceal the case fixings, and plastic retaining straps hold the lid in place when open. The lid is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad, and inside there are fastening pillars for PCBs and DIN rails.

The enclosures are made from tough, UV-stable ASA+PC (UL 94 V-0) in light grey (RAL 7035) as standard. They are available in eight sizes, ranging from 120 x 90 x 50 mm to 280 x 170 x 60 mm. Widths of 90, 110, 130, and 150 are rated IP 66, while 170 is rated IP 65.

Accessories for the SMART-BOX include pressure equalisation elements, cable grommets, security plugs, soft-touch TPE case feet, and self-tapping PCB/rail screws.
