PCI RTD and strain gauge simulator cards are introduced

To meet demand for programmable resistor solutions, Pickering Interfaces has introduced two ranges of PCI cards. The first range are PCI RTD simulator cards, which are intended for the emulation of PT100 and PT1000 resistive temperature sensors and have fine setting resolution characteristics.

The second range are PCI strain gauge simulator cards, which are intended for the emulation of high or low stresses and allow fine adjustment of the bridge.

The PCI RTD simulator cards (50-262) have six resistance channels and two resistance ranges: 90-250 and 900-2500Ω. Each card can be programmed with resistance calls which set the resistance to an accuracy of 0.1%.

The PCI strain gauge simulator cards (50-265) have six bridge channels and four bridge ranges: 0.35, 1, 2 and 3kΩ. Each channel has a stored value corresponding to the bridge being balanced, which can be driven from either an internal or external voltage source.

“PCI is used extensively in budget conscious test systems using Industrial PC chassis especially for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation,” commented Keith Moore, Managing Director, Pickering Interfaces. “There remains a strong demand for the PCI format and we are expanding our range of PCI switching products to address those market opportunities. We are committed to supporting these PCI switching solutions in the same way we support our PXI and LXI switching products.”
