New iBASE 3.5" single board computer IB961
FORTEC Integrated (Distec GmbH) has unveiled the latest IB961 single board computer (SBC) from iBASE.
This new offering is powered by the advanced Raptor Lake Intel Core processors, featuring a hybrid architecture that includes 4-6 performance cores and 4-8 efficiency cores, varying by model.
Stefan Zieboll, Product Manager Embedded at FORTEC Integrated/Distec, highlights the innovative design: "In this hybrid architecture, the E-cores efficiently manage system tasks, while the P-cores are engaged for tasks demanding higher computational power. This arrangement establishes an optimised platform suitable for various applications, including onboard computing, infotainment systems, and vehicle control units." Additionally, the IB961 is adept for use in industrial automation, medical equipment, and laboratory technologies.
The IB961 stands out with its support for up to 32GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and Hyper-Threading technology, enabling faster processing of information. Its broad range of interfaces positions it as a versatile solution: it can manage up to 4 displays through two DisplayPort 1.2, one LVDS, and one eDP interface. Connectivity is further enhanced with six USB ports for peripheral connections, including touchscreens, and two 2.5Gbit/s LAN interfaces alongside three M.2 (M-Key, E-Key, B-Key) slots, laying the groundwork for Wi-Fi and 5G communications.
Completing its suite of features, the IB961 offers a broad input voltage range from 12 to 24V and operates reliably in temperatures ranging from 0 to 60°C, ensuring adaptability across a wide spectrum of applications.
