Development board delivers IoT solutions
The EV75S95A SAM-IoT WG development board from Microchip Technology features the SAMD21G18 Arm Cortex-M0+ based 32-bit microcontroller (MCU), an ATECC608A CryptoAuthentication secure element IC, and the fully certified ATWINC1510 Wi-Fi network controller.
It is in stock at distributor Digi-Key Electronics.
Users can quickly and easily connect their embedded application to Google’s Cloud IoT core platform. The on-board debugger allows users to program and debug the MCU without any additional hardware.
Users can benefit from using the mikroBUS sockets to expand their design with their choice of MikroElektronika click Boards.
The SAM-IoT WG development board is a small and easily expandable demonstration and development platform for IoT solutions.
The MCU comes preloaded with firmware that enables users to quickly connect and send data to the Google Cloud platform using the on-board temperature and light sensors.
Any data received from the cloud over the subscribed topic is sent to the virtual serial port and can be displayed in a serial terminal application.
The ATWINC1510 needs a Wi-Fi network with an internet connection.
The ATECC608A is used to authenticate the hardware with the cloud to uniquely identify every board.
The demonstration application source code can be modified to publish data to a personal cloud account to get started with a custom cloud application.
Once users are ready to build their own custom design, they can easily generate code using the free software libraries in MPLAB Harmony v3.
The SAM-IoT WG development board is supported by MPLAB X IDE.
