Curiosity shop: Dev board ready for 32-bit designs
The PIC32MX470 Curiosity development board from Microchip Technology is now in stock at Mouser Electronics. The cost-effective, fully integrated development platform enables rapid prototyping of 32-bit designs using the onboard Microchip PIC32MX470 microcontroller.
The development board uses Microchip's MPLAB X integrated development environment (IDE) and PIC32’s powerful software framework, MPLAB Harmony to provide a flexible and modular interface to application development, a rich set of inter-operable software stack, and easy-to-use features.
The board features a wide range of peripherals, as well as user interface and expansion options including two mikroBUS click interface headers to support over 180 MikroElectronika click boards.
The board also includes the footprint for a Microchip BM64 Bluetooth module, a fully-certified, embedded 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 4.2 module that supports the Bluetooth BDR/EDR/BLE specifications.
The onboard PIC32MX470 microcontroller delivers up to 120 MHz DMIPS and provides 512 Kbytes of flash memory.
The microcontroller boasts a rich set of integrated peripherals, including two SPI/I2S interfaces for audio codecs, mTouch capacitive touch-sensing, an 8-bit Parallel Master Port (PMP) for graphics or external memory, and a 28-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
Out of the box or with expansion boards, the Microchip PIC32MX470 Curiosity development board provides the freedom to develop for a variety of applications, including Internet of Things (IoT), audio, Bluetooth, robotics development, and proof-of-concept designs.
