Impossible Objects' 3D printer wins award
Impossible Objects is proud to announce that its CBAM-25 industrial 3D printer has been recognised with the 2024 Mexico Technology Award in the 3D printing category.
The award, presented at SMTA Guadalajara on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, honours the CBAM-25's groundbreaking advancements in Composite Based Additive Manufacturing.
The CBAM-25 sets a new benchmark in the 3D printing industry, combining remarkable production speeds, high-volume manufacturing capabilities, and superior material options with exceptional precision. It has been designed to bridge the gap between additive manufacturing and mass production, offering a flexible solution for a variety of critical industries, including aerospace, electronics, unmanned drones, defence, robotics, tooling, automotive, and medical sectors.
What makes the CBAM-25 a game-changer for manufacturers is its unique Composite Based Additive Manufacturing (CBAM) technology, which integrates traditional additive manufacturing with high-performance composites. This innovation enables the production of parts with outstanding strength, durability, and thermal stability, opening up new possibilities for applications that require advanced materials.
In terms of production speed, the CBAM-25 stands well ahead of its competitors, delivering prints up to 15 times faster than comparable technologies and producing 11,200 cm³ of high-quality parts per hour. This rapid production capability significantly reduces lead times, enhances operational efficiency, and allows manufacturers to scale operations swiftly while maintaining exceptional quality.
For industrial-grade manufacturing, precision and quality assurance are paramount. The CBAM-25 offers laser control down to 50-60 microns, with a print resolution of 1200x1200 dpi, ensuring that every part meets the highest standards. The advanced composite materials used in the CBAM process further enhance the mechanical properties of the parts, making them highly durable and reliable for demanding applications.
The Mexico Technology Awards celebrate the latest technological innovations in the country’s manufacturing sector, recognising the achievements of OEM equipment and materials suppliers over the past year.
