adi Intelligent Buildings division shortlisted as BCIA Awards 2023 finalist
adi Intelligent Buildings, a division of engineering firm adi Group, was shortlisted as a finalist at the BCIA Awards in the category of Building Controls and BEMS Installer of the Year, along with six other businesses.
The BCIA Awards celebrate innovation, advanced product development, effective project delivery, and great training in the sector. This is something adi Intelligent Buildings fully embraces, continuously seeking to deliver bespoke, turnkey solutions designed to meet customer need.
Commenting on this achievement, David Barnes, Managing Director, says: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for an award that celebrates areas of business that are particularly close to our heart.
“Regardless of the outcome, being officially recognised in such a prevalent category for our work on one of our most exciting and noteworthy projects to date is an extraordinary milestone.”
adi Intelligent Buildings are currently carrying out essential work on AMR and building controls for a hospital facility in Birmingham, working closely with its NHS Foundation Trust to help them meet its carbon reduction targets.
"The organisation had complex and wide-ranging issues, particularly due to its needs being centred around patients’ wellbeing, as well as carbon reduction. This meant that we had to devise innovative and extremely secure solutions,” says David.
“We were aware of the need to deliver this work carefully and to particularly high standards. And though this is always the way we operate, we knew that in this particular instance, our services could directly affect patients in care – we had a clear opportunity to make a positive impact.
“We are particularly proud of the way this project was delivered, and we believe it perfectly exemplifies our modus operandi overall.”
The company adopts an entirely customer-centric approach, developing the most appropriate, entirely tailor-made technical solutions in response to each client’s unique needs.
Its team regularly attends events with leaders in the field, allowing them to employ the best products in the market, influence the roadmap for future development and drive technical innovation.
“Our team is led by professional chartered engineers who are active members of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. On a technical level, we have the skills needed to develop innovative tools and techniques to address clients’ challenges.
“But what we are also keen to spotlight is the way we work with our clients. We don't just solve the problem at hand – we are available to assist our clients from the beginning of a project until its completion and beyond, building long-lasting relationships.
“We look forward to continuing to play a role in a number of large-scale projects for clients across the UK, and being shortlisted as a finalist for the BCIAs is an ideal opportunity to celebrate our successes so far.”
