Zeekr has introduced upgraded EV batteries that support 5.5C ultra-fast charging, enabling vehicles to charge from 10 to 80% in just 10.5 minutes.

This new charging milestone has been set by Zeekr’s latest 007 sedan, which features advanced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and is compatible with Zeekr’s V3 ultra-fast charging stations. The enhanced speed is the result of optimised materials and cutting-edge technology, surpassing the performance of traditional nickel-cobalt-manganese batteries. This achievement highlights the progress made by Zeekr’s in-house e-powertrain R&D team.

Even in challenging environmental conditions, the upgraded battery management system (BMS) ensures a stable and rapid charging experience. At temperatures as low as -10°C, the vehicle can charge from 10 to 80% state of charge (SOC) in just 30 minutes, offering users a fast and reliable charging solution.

Zeekr has established over 500 ultra-fast charging stations across China, equipped with more than 2,700 charging piles, all supporting 800V charging. The company plans to expand its network to 1,000 ultra-fast charging stations by 2024 and aims to have over 10,000 ultra-fast charging piles in operation by 2026.

Additionally, during Zeekr Tech Day, the company unveiled its urban Navigation Zeekr Pilot (NZP) driver assistance features, which provide intelligent driving support on urban roads with integrated navigation. The urban NZP will begin delivery at the end of August. Paired with Zeekr’s AI-powered in-car assistant, Eva, the system evolves into a more intuitive driving companion, capable of anticipating situations and offering suggestions to enhance the driving experience.
