Vishay Intertechnology Enhances ACAS 0612
Vishay Intertechnology today announced that it has enhanced its ACAS 0612 precision thin film chip resistor arrays with tighter absolute TCR down to ± 10 ppm/K, relative TCR down to ± 5 ppm/K, and relative tolerance down to ± 0.05 % for automotive, industrial, and telecommunications applications.
Built on an advanced thin-film technology, the Vishay Beyschlag ACAS 0612 precision resistor array is ideally suited for precision analog circuit, voltage divider, feedback circuit, and signal conditioning applications that require extraordinarily stable fixed resistance ratios.
The device delivers stable performance for automotive electronics, including engine control units; gear box controls; information, safety, power supply, body electronics, and braking systems; industrial electronics, such as energy management, measurement control, steering technology, sensors, scales, and bridged and precision amplifiers; and telecommunication base stations.
The ACAS 0612 features four matched resistors in one package with an absolute tolerance of ± 0.1 % and 75 V operating voltage. The device is offered with resistance values from 47 Ω to 221 kΩ in two pairs or four equal resistor values. Each resistance element is rated to 0.1 W dissipation, up to a maximum of 0.3 W per package.
The resistor arrays lower costs when compared to using multiple high-precision discrete resistors, while at the same time their stable divider ratio improves the stability of the application. Suitable for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems, the device is RoHS-compliant and compatible with lead (Pb)-free and tin/lead (Sn/Pb) reflow and vapor-phase soldering processes.
Samples and production quantities of the enhanced ACAS 0612 precision resistor array are available now, with lead times of six to eight weeks for larger orders.
