Authorised distributor Mouser Electronics is now stocking the FS2400 Fail-Safe System Basis Chips (SBCs) from NXP Semiconductors.

This family of automotive safety mini CAN FD SBC devices with multiple power supply support secure car access applications using ultra-wideband (UWB), near field communication (NFC) and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) devices, while maintaining flexibility to fit other small applications requiring low power and CAN FD communication.

The devices supports a wide range of applications, offering choices in output voltage setting, physical interface, integrated system-level features to address low power and noise sensitive applications with automotive safety integrity levels up to ASIL B.

In compliance with the ISO 26262:2018 standard, the SBCs include enhanced safety features, with fail-safe output, and becomes part of a complete safety-oriented system covering ASIL B safety integrity level.

The FS2400 is available in a 5mm x 5mm, 32-Ld HVQFN package with wettable flanks.

Applications include smart car access, automotive advanced exterior lighting, electric pumps, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and transmissions and gearboxes.
