EVBox has announced the inauguration of its new training centre for AC and DC stations in Canéjan, France, situated near its Bordeaux factory. This centre aims to provide training for installers and partners, particularly those already certified in IRVE (Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure), addressing the current lack of sufficient training opportunities in this field.

EVBox is offering certified training programmes at its new facility in Canéjan, France. This follows the recent establishment of another training centre by EVBox in Essen, Germany. The expansion of these training centres is a strategic move to train a larger number of individuals, thereby broadening the scope of skill development and knowledge dissemination within the electric mobility ecosystem.

Charging station training centre: guaranteeing quality and durability

The launch of this training facility is in line with the requirements of two decrees issued on 27th October 2021 (Decree n°1 and Decree n°2). These decrees emphasise the necessity of training courses that contribute to the service quality commitments of publicly accessible charging stations. It is also vital to provide essential services for partners and installers to maintain their charging stations effectively and uphold warranty services. A well-trained and knowledgeable partner or installer is crucial for ensuring the longevity and durability of the charging stations.

The training sessions will encompass all technical specifications, theoretical knowledge, and practical skills related to the installation and commissioning of charging stations. Participants will also have the opportunity to apply their skills practically in front of actual charging stations. However, these training sessions will be exclusively available to installers who are already IRVE certified, demonstrating their expertise and comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment. The training sessions will be conducted in multiple languages and are designed to train approximately 600 installers annually. Canéjan, serving as EVBox’s dedicated after-sales facility, is ideally positioned for these training sessions, while the Bordeaux site houses the factory and corporate office.

Spanning approximately 200 square metres, the training centre is staffed by an international, multilingual team of expert trainers from the charging industry.
