Cressall Resistors to exhibit at The Battery Show Europe

Taking place at Messe Stuttgart, Germany, it is Europe’s largest battery and electric vehicle (EV) technology conference and acts as a meeting place for industry leaders, top battery manufacturers, and automotive suppliers.

With over 10,000 attendees, 770 exhibitors and 99 speakers, The Battery Show Europe provides an opportunity for suppliers to present the latest technologies that are crucial to various stages of the advanced, hydrogen, and EV battery supply chain. The conference presents an opportunity for key industry players to delve into the commercial and technical challenges of Europe’s EV rollout and foster innovative partnerships that serve the industry as well as global sustainability targets.

Cressall will be exhibiting its flagship EV2 dynamic braking resistor (DBR), which is specifically designed for heavy-duty EV applications, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). The EV2 is a crucial piece of kit that safeguards the regenerative braking process by safely dissipating excess energy as heat, which can be in turn used to heat the vehicle’s cabin.

Alongside Cressall’s range of resistor products, its load bank division, Power Prove, will also be present on the stand. With a range of AC and DC off-the-shelf load banks as well as custom solutions available, Power Prove will be showcasing its suitability for various automotive applications like EV charging station performance verification.

Visitors will also be able to observe demonstrations of Power Prove’s DIGILOAD digital control system software, which uses a small computer to record and store accurate test data for easy access as and when required. It is the most powerful and flexible solution on the market and is controllable via a local touch screen on the load bank itself.
