Warwick Acoustics appoints ex Jaguar Land Rover board director Ian Harnett

Harnett, who has served as a Non-Executive Director for the past year, has been instrumental in preparing Warwick Acoustics for its first production contract with a renowned global luxury automotive manufacturer. With a career spanning nearly four decades in the automotive industry, Harnett has contributed his extensive expertise and experience in automotive commercial negotiations, people management in large organisations, and establishing new, large-scale automotive production facilities to Warwick Acoustics.

During his time at Jaguar Land Rover, Harnett played a pivotal role in the company's expansion both in the UK and internationally over the last decade. As a member of the company’s main board, he was integral to the sustainable growth of the UK's largest car maker. He was responsible for opening new production facilities abroad, doubling the workforce from 17,000 to around 38,000, and significantly increasing sales.

Harnett's last position at Jaguar Land Rover was as Executive Director for Human Resources and Global Purchasing. Before this, he managed Land Rover's purchasing team following Ford's acquisition of the brand in 2000.

Warwick Acoustics secured its first production contract with a global luxury automotive OEM in June 2023 and is engaged in development contracts with other prestigious brands. The company's innovative ElectroAcoustic Panels are significantly lighter and more energy-efficient than conventional automotive speakers and are made exclusively from 100% upcycled and recyclable materials, without using rare-earth metals. The acoustic performance of these systems is highly praised by audiophiles and customers for its realism, authenticity, and immersiveness, marking a substantial improvement over existing premium audio solutions.
