Hylec kickstarts 2024 with three key strategic appointments
Hylec-APL, the specialist manufacturer and supplier of electrical and electromechanical components, is pleased to announce three key strategic appointments to strengthen its team and business moving into 2024.
As the company launches exciting new products, including a range of solar connectors, these new team members will help drive Hylec business strategy and operational success.
First up, Nick Hart takes on a new role as Director of Wholesale. Returning to Hylec after a successful period working in the wholesale sector for a manufacturer of water-resistant electronics, Hart will take responsibility for driving the company’s wholesale business.
“I’m really excited to be back at Hylec as we look to enhance and promote the wholesale ranges of our product portfolio into broader sectors of the market,” said Hart. “Building on a compelling set of products for electrical installers across every sector, this push will be led by our strategy for point-of-sale displays and social media marketing, backed by the increasingly competitive pricing we are delivering for our customers. With our UK-wide agent base, all areas of the country are well served by a knowledgeable, friendly, and informative sales team.”
Next up, Steve McGrath joins as Northern Sales Manager for OEMs. McGrath has enjoyed a long, successful career in the electronic and electrical industries across both sales and product management roles and will utilise his experience to help support continued growth at Hylec.
“I’m delighted to be joining the Hylec team and to be part of exciting times to come in 2024 and beyond,” commented McGrath. “The range and depth of products at Hylec is outstanding, and balanced with our experienced team, this provides a strong offering to our growing customer base.”
Finally, enhancing the sales support team, Hylec has appointed Franco Mattola as Supply Chain Manager, with a brief to strengthen UK stock commitment and communication on shipments.
“I’m pleased to join the Hylec family,” said Mattola. “And I’m very much looking forward to the exciting challenges ahead.”
“2024 is set to be an exciting year in the development of Hylec’s product portfolio, as we look to introduce several important new lines – including our solar connectors range – to the market for electrical installers across all sectors,” noted Michael Crowther, Sales and Marketing Director at Hylec. “These three appointments fill key strategic roles within our organisation designed to help us serve customers better and support the continued growth of the business – and I’m really looking forward to working with Nick, Steve, and Franco to deliver on this for Hylec and its customers.”
