In order to better address opportunities within the Korean market, innovative touch sensor manufacturer Zytronic has appointed a new channel partner in the region. With immediate effect, the company will now be represented by DTH Co. Ltd.
DTH will liaise with leading Korean-based OEMs and system integrators, providing them with access to Zytronic’s full range of Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™)-based touch sensor products as well as offering full technical support. Located in the city of Anyang, 25 km south of Seoul, the firm has been established by a team of highly motivated and experienced sales engineers with an in-depth knowledge of touchscreen technology and the various applications this can be used in. The partnership will allow Zytronic to gain greater presence in a broad spectrum of design projects, such as those for industrial control equipment, point of sale (PoS) units, digital signage systems, information kiosks, and medical equipment.
DTH will market the entire Zytronic touch sensor family, and in addition, will hold local inventory of selected sizes. The range includes standard ZYPOS® sensors, ZYBRID® custom designs, ultra-durable ZYTOUCH® screens and flexible ZYPROFILM® and ZYFILM® touch foils for through-window interactive retail applications. Each of these products employs Zytronic’s patented Projective Capacitive Technology (PCT).
“Zytronic has developed a range of world beating touchscreen products that have very clear advantages over conventional offerings. Their ruggedness, reliability, ease of integration, fast response and high degree of accuracy give them the competitive edge in any heavy duty or public interactive application, for either indoor or outdoor use” says Baskin Lee, Senior Manager at DTH. “We expect to accelerate the uptake of these products within the Korean market segment and find exciting new possibilities for their utilisation.”
As Ian Crosby, Sales and Marketing Director at Zytronic, explains, “With the presence of several major display manufacturers and an economy increasingly driven by growth in global demand for electronics, Korea has proved to be a vital market for our PCT touch sensors, with exciting design-wins secured there, particularly in large format digital signage applications. With the appointment of DTH we will be very well positioned to build on this success and drive more widespread use of PCT locally. I believe, the strong relations DTH have nurtured with local OEMs and display integrators coupled with their exceptional technical expertise will greatly help our customers in the region.”
