Xilinx Inc today announced the expansion of its Authorized Training Provider (ATP) program to South America with the addition of Anacom in Brazil. The company joins a global network of 28 Authorized Training Providers in Africa and the Middle East, Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe, and Japan.
We're delighted to welcome Anacom as our first training provider in Brazil, extending Xilinx presence and commitment to this emerging market, said Xilinx Area Sales Director for South America, Greg Cole. With our flagship Virtex(R)-6 and Spartan(R)-6-based Targeted Design Platforms, Xilinx continues to spark innovation with Brazilian customers in communications, industrial, and medical markets. The addition of a high-caliber training provider such as Anacom will further spur design activity in South America.

We're very proud to have been selected by Xilinx as an Authorized Training Provider, given the exceptional quality of its products and services and its brand name recognition all over the world, added Carlos E. Lion, President Director of Anacom Electronics, Ltd. As microelectronics gains more importance in Brazil, Anacom is strengthening its commitment to the Brazilian industry with training in the area of FPGAs.

The ATP program complements the Xilinx Education Services curriculum, offering customers a robust network of local providers certified to deliver high-quality training in programmable logic and system-level design. The program provides Xilinx customers valuable assistance and instruction in maximizing the potential of the company's latest Virtex-6 and Spartan-6 FPGA-based Targeted Design Platforms.
