TTI honours top suppliers
At a recent ceremony at its European headquarters in Munich, TTI, Inc. announced its European Supplier Awards for the past year. Five companies amassed enough points in a number of performance categories – ship to commitment date; receiving quality, administrative quality; sales and profitability; business systems - to qualify for recognition. Out of a possible 105 points (90 objective, 10 discretionary and 5 bonus), Bourns, Kemet, Molex, Murata and Phoenix Contact all achieved at least 85 points, Bourns achieving top ranking position with 92 points.
MoreCommented Glyn Dennehy, VP and General Manager, Europe: “Every year, these awards recognize best-in-class performance by our suppliers. We do this by closely monitoring certain criteria throughout the year and evaluating certain specifics of our business with all our suppliers. These awards are more than just a trophy. They signify suppliers that have made great contributions to the way TTI’s business is run and the levels of performance we can offer our customers.”
Dietmar Schauer Bourns’ VP Sales Europe said: “We are delighted to have achieved such a high points total in these challenging categories, especially since it now means that we qualify for silver status, having been a top supplier for three years in a row. Bourns takes this as a challenge to further grow the partnership and business together with TTI and maintain industry leadership.
For Kemet, European Distribution Director Graeme Dorkings added: “We are delighted to receive this award and to be recognized by TTI as one of their most trusted and valued supplier partners. It is important for KEMET to perform at the very highest level within every part of their organization, and I am confident we will deliver more and more value to our partnership moving forward.
Greg Faughnan, Director of Distribution Europe for Molex detailed the relationship between the two companies. “This award reflects the close partnership we have with TTI, which enables us to focus on new product introductions, Demand Creation and new market penetration. We will strive to maintain and improve this performance for the benefit of our mutual customers”, he said.
Murata also undertakes rigorous reciprocal audits on its distributors, and TTI has won awards for the last two years. Therefore, explained Gary Atkins, Managing Director - Murata Netherlands & Director of European Distribution, achieving silver status with TTI, Inc., is especially pleasing. “Our mutual professional expectations strengthen our working relationship”, he added. “We will continue to initiate new policies to try to achieve even higher targets, directly benefiting our customers.”
Speaking for Phoenix Contact, Stephan Frigge, Key Account Manager, Global Distribution declared: “Achieving the European Award from TTI so quickly is an honour that we take great pride in. By working together in this way we can provide customers with a best-in-class end-user service experience.”
