Synplicity Appoints Paul Weiskopf
Synplicity has announced that Paul Weiskopf has been appointed to its board of directors effective June 18, 2007. Mr. Weiskopf, who is vice president of corporate development at Adobe Systems, brings a wealth of knowledge in corporate strategy, mergers, acquisitions, and venture investing to Synplicity's board of directors. Mr. Weiskopf's addition will increase the total number of directors on Synplicity's board to eight.

Weiskopf joined Adobe Systems in March, 2005 and played an instrumental role in the acquisition of Macromedia, Inc., as well as a number of smaller acquisitions and venture investments. Prior to Adobe Systems, Weiskopf held the position of vice president of strategy and corporate development for
Hewlett-Packard. Before HP, Weiskopf served as vice president for two e-commerce companies, InsWeb and BenefitPoint. Prior to that, he worked in strategic consulting for Accenture and L.E.K. Consulting.
Weiskopf holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political economy of industrial societies and a master's degree in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
