Fast, capable and affordable customer-specific problem solvers from SUYIN: Board-to-board connectors as an example
SUYIN offers many different types of board-to-board (BTB) connectors. This broad selection begins with versions featuring contact configurations that range from very simple to highly complex and cover a wide variety of pitches – from 0.5 mm (fine pitch) all the way to 2.54 mm. The fact that the overwhelming majority of these products are custom solutions comes as no surprise, because SUYIN is one of the very few East Asian connector vendors that are able to realize custom developments or modifications (for example, with regard to the pin length, gold plating, housing or packaging) at absolutely competitive prices.
AddiA case in point: “Sandwich” pin headers with bottom-entry sockets
Some of the key requirements facing a European customer for a “tailored” BTB solution in industrial applications have included:
* Bridging particularly large distances (31 mm and 35.5 mm) between printed circuit boards
* Availability of variants with different numbers of positions and selectively loaded versions for different device families.
* A sturdy straight (vertical) version of the connector solution for through-hole (THT) mounting.
In the shortest possible time, SUYIN realized a complete, customer-specific board-to-board interconnect system for particularly large board distances of up to 35.5 mm at a pitch of 2.54 mm. These single-row sandwich pin headers are only partially loaded depending on the specific version and area of application. On their tops, all pin headers have two locating posts integrated into the sides of the housing for reliable mechanically coded connections with the female sockets. Furthermore, on their underside, they have a plastic snap-in fastener for sturdy anchoring on the printed circuit board. The matching female sockets, which permit bottom (pass-through) entry, are available in partially loaded versions as well.
