Silicon Laboratories has been named Fabless Semiconductor Supplier of the Year at the annual Elektra Awards 2010, announced at The Lancaster Hotel in London on Dec. 9. The Elektra Awards, founded by Electronics Weekly magazine, recognize the achievements of individuals and companies in the electronics industry. The Elektra Fabless Semiconductor Supplier of the Year Award is bestowed upon a company that has demonstrated significant commercial success for new product introductions and specific product intellectual property developments during the year.
This year's shortlist includes a strong array of technology-focused businesses, and the winner typified this in its particular area of semiconductor products, said Electronics Weekly editor-in-chief, Richard Wilson, a member of the Elektra judging panel.

Winning the Elektra Fabless Semiconductor Supplier of the Year Award is an honor, and we appreciate the recognition of the success of our mixed-signal strategy in the global electronics industry, said Necip Sayiner, president and CEO of Silicon Laboratories. We look forward to launching next-generation products and taking advantage of new market opportunities in the coming year.

Silicon Labs' diverse portfolio of patented silicon solutions includes mixed-signal microcontrollers (MCUs), AM/FM radio tuner ICs, video demodulators, silicon TV tuners, sub-GHz wireless ICs, embedded modems, subscriber line interface circuits, precision clock ICs, crystal and silicon oscillators, digital isolators, isolated gate drivers, current sensors, Power over Ethernet controllers, infrared/ambient light sensors and touch-sense MCUs.
