Semtech has received MIL-PRF-19500/406 qualification from Defense Supply Center Columbus, (DSCC) of its brand new 1.5W Zener diode voltage regulator platform.
The qualification adds 74 low, medium and high range Zener diodes (part numbers ranging from 1N4460 to 1N4496) to Semtech’s product line of DSCC-qualified high reliability discrete semiconductors. Each of the parts features low dynamic impedance and low reverse leakage currents. Each voltage regulator is available both as a hermetically sealed axial leaded package (2.62mm x 5.08mm) as well as a surface mount package (2.16mm x 4.06mm). This product family is available in JAN, JANTX and JANTXV quality levels

“This launch marks another family of new QPL products that Semtech has produced specifically for the aerospace and space markets, and is the second of several new product introductions we will bring to market in the coming months,” said Jose Vargas, Vice President, Microwave and High Reliability Product Group for Semtech. “With this /406 qualification, Semtech is able to support its customers to overcome market shortages and long leadtimes for these devices while meeting their requirements of delivering a high quality product and superior service.”

The parts are produced in Semtech’s JANS certified facility and all qualified products will be listed in the Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) 19500.

The Semtech Power Discrete facility has been producing high-voltage military and commercial power discrete products since 1990. This facility holds certification to MIL-PRF-19500 and ISO 9001:2000 with AS9100:2004 Rev B.
